The first book to be published under the Centre Circle Publishing imprint is a collaboration between David Bauckham and fellow photographer Terry Buckman. 'Season of Sussex Soccer' tells the story of the 2007/08 football season in the form of a month-by-month written commentary, plus over one hundred high quality full colour photographs. Between them, the authors attended almost 140 matches, featuring over sixty non-League clubs, plus the county's only Football League club, Brighton and Hove Albion. There was no predetermined plan, other than to tell the story of the season as it unfolded, both on and off the pitch; and to try and capture the essence of the 'National Game' in a small corner of South East England. The cover of the book features a photograph of Hill Park, home of Saltdean United and one of the most scenic grounds in Sussex. |
